About

I love bringing ideas to life, whether that happens in front of a camera, on a stage, or behind the scenes.

From idea to reality...

My name is Samuël Mechielsen. I am 16 years old and I love presenting, acting, socializing, but above all, inspiring people.
What perhaps characterizes me most is that I enjoy doing something with the ideas that spring into my head.

Over the years, I have been involved with video, gaming, events, media, entrepreneurship, and creative productions. What started as curiosity and hobbies increasingly grew into projects in which I could develop myself and discover new things.

I love building something from scratch. Coming up with an idea is fun, but I think the moment you suddenly visualize, hear, or experience it is perhaps even more beautiful. That is why I don't want to just stand on the sidelines. I want to roll up my sleeves, contribute ideas, and be involved in the entire process.

That is also where my love for creativity comes from. For me, creativity isn't just about making something beautiful. It's about telling stories, touching people, trying something new, and sometimes just thinking: “Why not?”

I don't know exactly where my story ends yet. But I do know that along the way, I want to create, learn, and mean as much as possible.

"I don't just want to come up with ideas. I want to give them a face."

What drives me?

Presenting

In front of a camera, on a stage, or in front of a group: I love conveying a story.

Acting

Playing a character, telling a story, and taking people into another world.

(Content) Creation

From an empty idea to something that people can actually see, hear, and experience.

People

I love collaborating, socializing, and especially inspiring people to take action themselves.

My journey

From my first videos to the creative maker I am today.
Over the years, I have learned primarily by trying, creating, and sometimes just diving headfirst into something. Every year brought something new. Think of a new idea, a new project, or a new challenge.
Together, they form the story of where I come from and where I want to go.

2020

Gameboys

In 2020, I started something that would eventually become a major part of my creative development: making videos.
Under the name GameBoys, a place emerged from my love for gaming where I could experiment with video, entertainment, and content creation.

Back then, I didn't need to know exactly where it was going. Above all, I wanted to get started.
Camera on, record, edit, and try again. It was precisely because of this that I learned early on that creativity isn't just about coming up with ideas, but above all about doing.

2021

SGNGameChannel

What started as GameBoys evolved into SGNGameChannel. My interest shifted increasingly from just gaming to the entire process surrounding it: conceiving, presenting, editing, publishing videos, and developing my own style.

I discovered that I enjoyed not only working behind a screen, but especially creating something for an audience. That idea would later reappear in more and more of my projects.

2022

Presenting, acting & entertainment

In 2022, I began to broaden my horizons. Gaming and video remained part of my creative world, but more and more interests emerged alongside them: presenting, acting, and performing.

Traces of my interest in entertainment from this period can also be found online. For example, there is an Instagram post of mine from August 2022 that I took at my musical performance of "O Dy Zeeën".

That was important to me, because I increasingly discovered that for me, creativity isn't just behind a computer. I also want to stand on a stage, stand in front of a camera, and take people along on a journey through a story.

2023

Media, performance & new ideas

In 2023, I continued exploring different facets of the creative world. Acting, presenting, making videos, and devising new concepts began to increasingly overlap.

I noticed that this combination suits me particularly well. I don't have to choose between only being in front of the camera or only working behind the scenes. I actually find it interesting to come up with an idea, develop it, and ultimately be part of the result myself.

That increasingly became the way I started looking at creativity.

2024

Radio & Events

2024 was a year in which I gained more experience in media and events. In addition to my own projects, I had the opportunity to gain experience within other productions and organizations as well.

I began to understand better and better everything that happens before something finally reaches an audience. Not only presenting, but also collaborating, organizing, communicating, and taking responsibility.

Through that, I discovered that I really enjoy being part of a larger whole, but also that I like taking initiative myself.

2025

SGNProductions NL

2025 became a major turning point. I stopped working at the youth radio station League-FM and began focusing more and more on my own creative ideas.

From that grew SGNProductie: my own creative space to actually realize ideas. This company had been around for a while, but didn't receive much attention.

For me, SGNProductie is not just about a name or a company. It stands for something that became increasingly clear in my work: I don't just want to participate in other people's ideas. I also want to create, develop, and build myself.

That is perhaps one of the most important things I have learned during this period:

Having an idea is great. Actually doing something with it is where it begins.

2026

Creative maker, student and entrepreneur

In 2026, more and more aspects of my development are coming together. I have started Creative Marketing & Communication at the Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht, while simultaneously continuing to build on my own creative projects.

SGNProductie continues to grow, and I am working with a team on a new children's program. At the same time, I continue to develop my skills in presenting, acting, media, and creative production.

Outside of my own projects, I also remain active in various creative and entrepreneurial roles. For example, I am involved with Vonk Productions as Director of Operations.

More and more of what I enjoy is starting to come together: creativity, media, entrepreneurship, people, and storytelling.

???

And where is the journey going?

Perhaps that is precisely the beauty of it.
I don't know exactly what my story will look like in five or ten years. But I do know what I want to keep doing:

Make. Try. Learn. Present. Create. Inspire people.

Because when I look back at 2020, I don't see a single straight line. I see all kinds of small ideas and projects that eventually started to provide more and more direction.

And perhaps that is exactly what my journey is:

I don't just want to come up with ideas.
I want to give them a face.

Things you probably didn't know about me

1

I previously had my own clothing company.

I once worked on a clothing brand called "Pointer Clothing". The idea was that all proceeds would go to charity. Additionally, I had SGNShop, focused on merchandise. Not everything has to be a lasting success in the end, but I take something away from every project.

2

I love writing...

A script, a newspaper article, a story, or just a few sentences that have to feel exactly right. I enjoy writing, and apparently, it comes naturally to me.
I love bringing an idea to life with words, telling a story, or writing something down in such a way that someone pauses for a moment.

And who knows… you might see just a little bit more of that soon. 👀

3

I have a weakness for ideas that are far too big.

With me, a small idea sometimes tends to grow quite quickly into a full project, concept, format, company, or world.

But yeah… someone has to make them eventually.

Do you have an idea?

A creative collaboration, project, presentation, or just a good conversation? I am open to new ideas.

"Dreaming is the beginning. Making is where the story begins."
